I’ve wanted to book a big trip to Armenia for a long time. The plan was to visit Christian holy places, see ancient churches and sights like Geghard, Garni, Khor Virap, Noravank, Noratus. Recently I learned that the oldest winery in the world was discovered in Armenia and I was so happy to see it was part of my tour. We had a day to ourselves too, so I went to the “Vernissage” market, got myself a pair of very pretty silver earrings. Of course, I bought some brandy too. Thank you, GoToArmenia, for organizing things so well. I’m very happy with the tour.

Great tour, many sights to see but also plenty of time to have fun. I really enjoyed my time in Armenia, history is everywhere here, in every stone. Our tour included culinary workshops, which was great. We learned to make gata, I bake it at home now. We had a great time in Gyumri and at tastings in Tushpa winery and the Mikaelyans’ Cheese cellar. This trip for me was a discovery of Armenian wine. Now I buy Armenian wines in Russia.
